how feasible/useful these wifi portable hard disks pairing ios devices? mean seagate goflex satellite 500gb, has 802.11 b/g/n wi-fi 30 ft, 5hrs operation, 25hr standby time $200. http://www.amazon.com/seagate-satellite-wireless-external-stbf500101/dp/b004z0s7k6 . there faster flash based ones, going around $50 16gb.
seagate have ipad app allows drive connect wirelessly. im looking @ option pair along 16gb ipad 3. 64gb sku same $200 more lot less space , @ least hdd can used on multiple devices.
looked possibility of using android phone wifi mass storage device accessible ipad. use tethering data anyway, why not storage too?
advise or opinions on feasibility of this?
i have seagate goflex satellite , enjoy it. i'm able take along entire itunes library wherever go. wish there improvements in satellite app such creating playlists implemented in future updates. there no way transfer data satellite ipad limitation of ipad not satellite.
