Magazines won't download in the background?

so started using newsstand earlier today , me or magazines won't download in background if decide use browser? minute out of magazine app, stops. don't want sit there , wait because each magazine 650mb each it'll take time on 15mbit/sec connection. if don't out of app, download stops if screen turns off.

tips on can eliminate these quirks?
