so i've got odd problem, here's scenario:
27" imac 2.8ghz quad core running os x 10.7.1, , netgear router (connected comcast modem).
sees network, connects drops network. however, macbook air running 10.6.8, ipad, , sony viao running windows 7 can connect , stay connected network fine.
made me think imac's wifi card broken brought work , connected our network (802.11x, wpa2 enterprise, cisco routers) , worked perfectly. brought home, still couldn't connect network.
brought campus apple store , replaced airport card , seemed resolve problem bit, issue has come back.
yesterday did full time machine up, wiped hard drive , did full os x lion re-install , restored time machine up, ran of apple software updates , connected wifi here @ work fine.
brought home, still won't connect network. make me think it's issue home network other devices working fine.
had comcast technician @ network , found nothing wrong.
thoughts? suggestions? help!
yes, seems lion wifi drivers 2011 imac models buggy. has long been discussed , documented , many people affected (my home imac well). 1 solution helped soem people downgrade drivers ones snow leopard, has own share of problems. try installing latest lion update, today's 10.7.3 has references wifi stability, maybe fixed it. can't try yet @ work.
