Mountain Lion Dev Preview upgrade path

hi! thinking plunking down hundred dollars have access mountain lion developer's preview, , had few questions hadn't seen answered elsewhere...

1. when final public release of 10.8 happens in summer, able upgrade organically developer's preview (without losing data, etc.), or have downgrade lion or restore system first?

2. actually, want confirm dev. preview install on current lion , (assuming nothing whacks out) retain data, yes?

3. if preview version, still have pay (likely) $30 final version? (i imagine yes.)
