Skype won't run

hi. don't know if correct forum post think may have installed shouldn't have.

after successfully(?) installing [more ichat smileys 3.1.1.], skype won't run anymore. bounce on dock 2~3 times nothing. want disable said smileys (not smiling anymore!) can't find it. please help!

p.s. have macbook pro using mac os x 10.6.8...
