Macs Landing on Corporate Desks, Led by iPhones and iPads

in past 5 years, apple's push enterprise has been led iphone , ipad. corporate departments, long dominated blackberry, becoming more receptive ios products, when users given choice platform use.

in addition ios driving apple's sales -- accounting two-thirds of apple's revenue in fact -- ios's corporate success driving enterprise adoption of mac. wall street journal writes of apple's growing success in getting mac onto desks of corporate employees. ge has more 1,000 mac users under year-long pilot project allows employees choose use macs instead of pc's, without significant knowledge of program inside ge. company has 330,000 computers, vast majority running windows.
forrester research estimates apple sell $9 billion in macs , $10 billion in ipads corporations year, 50% 2011. forrester anticipates spending on pcs , tablets made other companies decline 3% $69 billion.
