Clamshell Mode Broken on 10.7.3?

so updated mba 10.7.3 yesterday. today when normal routine of plugging sleeping air external display , usb keyboard/mouse no longer works correctly.

air wakes up, turns on internal screen though lid closed, external becomes secondary display. if open lid , close again nothing, internal display still keeps primary though off.

also, seems has issues auto-detecting displays. if unplug external display lid open doesn't blank screen adjust resolution, , mouse can still go onto nonexistent display. way fix going display settings , hitting detect displays.

basically, no matter air thinks internal display should on.

else having these issues? searched , found thread on it, 10.7.2, working me.

 

do have displays set in mirror mode? also, make sure external display connection secure.
