New iPad or the Next Gen iPhone

hi guys need opinions on this. i'm considering getting new ipad on upcoming iphone 5 (or whatever call it). owns iphone 4.

using uni (lecture notes etc) , @ home on bed surfing web/reading. it, wouldn't need bring school , it'll easier on eyes when i'm using web surfing. convenience of in school , @ home when i'm not sitting @ desk 17" stone of laptop. downside i'll have pay more apps made ipad.

using iphone similar purposes minus can use ipad in school. upgrading not net me major benefits aside whatever speed , functions new iphone come with.

if end purchasing ipad, keep using current iphone 4 next year or two. downgrading cheaper monthly plan once current contract expires in august year. facing same selection dilemma me?

 

sounds have made mind. based on info gave, go ipad imo. bought 4s when came out, , using tax return money buy new ipad.
