csh versus bash for scripting

folks,

not trying start war; i'm looking facts can verified.

why bash considered better csh scripting? have used csh life , thing has annoyed me lack of floating point variables, found workaround using trick. not use interactive scripting, batch processing , cron jobs.

colleague using bash , expects me take on system using it. prefer continue me using it, preference convert csh. can provide me reasons why bash better csh scripting?

have tried putting #!/bin/sh @ top of every script? makes argument moot , scripts always work must admit sh bit of pain compared csh , bash.
