Three iPad 2 cases reviewed

otterbox defender - i'm big fan of ob defender iphone cases. have had 3 on various generations of iphones. kept phones in mint condition despite numerous drops on hard surfaces, bumps, general abuse, etc. when got ipad 2 despite poor reviews on amazon ordered defender it. reviews right. incredibly fiddly install , no amount of adjusting, reinstalling, etc. keep headphone jack flap closed. case has no screen protection ever. weight. added weight doesn't bother me. little heft. defender ipad seemingly triples it's weight. transforms ipad elegant lightweight device piece of gym equipment suitable doing squats.

tribeca "nfl" folio case - after returned defender ordered case shipping slow on whim bought tribeca folio "nfl" case. it's styled after ipad 1 case. fit decent. feel of "nubuck leather" (synthetic) , folding stand works well. negatives many - it's massively overpriced (probably due paying nfl license fee). after few days of use cover started coming loose inner plastic. lacks sleep feature of less expensive cases. didn't finish on edges. sharp , amplify synthetic feel of case's materials.

ayl/yoobao executive leather case - far favorite case. relatively inexpensive, seemingly constructed perfect fit (i'll report on it's durability). sleep/wake feature works well. construction , overall feel far exceed price. negatives few - read many reviews complaining "toxic" smell when first unboxed. mine smelled tolerable, new leather , glue. day 2 smell had diminished. ayl didn't send me latest version of case. received version 2 rounded, unreinforced spine. latest version has reinforced spine (like hardback book). ayl shipped case via usps in padded envelop. mine hard been folded (creases) , had small impact dent in leather in front. of negatives seller , shipping rather case itself.
