Dog slobbered on charger...could that damage iPad?

so, dog slobbered on ipad charger, right on part connects ipad. small amounts of liquid got onto/into it. after plugged in ipad charger , wondered if there might issue sort of liquid damage there absolutely no noticeable problems. appears working 100% perfectly.

see issue getting liquid on charger , in charger port on ipad?

thing care is, if in few months now, ipad randomly dies electrical shorting, etc.

thoughts?

 

if working should fine, wouldn't worried it.
