Apple Display 27" TB on iMac

hi guys,

imac 2011 model before march 7th new imac came. imac not have thunderbolt port.

i'm sitting here new apple display 27" thunderbolt screen, trying connect imac, nothing happends. tried set thunberbolt plug displayport on imac (it's same type cable) .. nothing happening?

isn't there way make display work on imac. thunderbolt important?

yeah,unfortunately, tb not backward compatible display port.
