Would this be a good purchase?

hello everyone, have begun shopping first apple computer. have found used model unsure if purchase.

13.3 macbook aluminum model mb466ll/a, asking price 600obo no powercord.

thinking of offering 500 , purchasing powercord if deal.

thing wont used crazy intensive. web browsing , normal computer usage. want fast , reliable. want able upgrade ram , maybe hhd ssd , run lion.

can spend new price , air or pro if used deal came wouldnt mind saving money.

guys think?
