UPS question

hey!

parents planning on switching imac (from pc) , there's 1 thing bothering them. i've been macbook user 2 years don't have experience imac hope can help.

so, happen have power outages every once in while here parents have been using ups quite long time. since imac expensive, don't want take risks want continue using ups. question is, possible keep old ups, work imac properly? pictured of imacs we've googled, our ups cable should fit imac 's power port. if connect , connect ups power, imac work?

you can use ups mac it's hard yes specific model because didn't list specific model.
