parallels and time machine

i installed parallels , windows 7 on 2011 macbook air , impressed performance. however, have noticed 2 issues.

1) time machine backups on 17 gb unless set parallels tell time machine not virtual machine. there way set backup include virtual machine not make huge backups? tried optimize time machine option, experienced same huge backups. if not backing virtual machine files make in windows still backed through time machine?

2) cannot see nas in windows after allowing network sharing. ideas?
