How can I change the location of my library folder?

i'll try , keep brief possible. (tl;dr version: library folder on wrong drive. how can move it?)

18 months ago switched hdd in mid 2009 mbp ssd , replaced optical drive larger hdd storage, moved home folder onto (though of course not library folder).

weekend hdd got corrupted , had full erase/restore through time machine, , until had reformatted hdd not log in. once had erased log in again, although old library folder still exists on boot ssd, has replaced (of course missing until tm restore complete) home folder new 1 on hdd , set new default library folder.

copy old library files new folder, i'd prefer have library on ssd, what want know how osx recognise old library? or if updated new one, move it?

know moving library bit of minefield, i'm hoping 1 of can help!
