just wanted user experiences on this. know pretty specific never know
have 2011 2.3ghz quad core i7 macbook pro. i'm going upgrade ram 16gb , wondering if of had experience playing battlefield 3 through bootcamp. whether booting windows or running partition through vmware fusion.
able play @ decent spec levels?
16gb ram doesn't change in regards gaming capability. 8gb doesn't offer benefit. 4gb you'd need.

bit of tweaking can make medium/low details work.
me think 1st person shooter needs 45 fps average work well. if barely reach 30 fps average drops too low when action on , need fluent fps. consider 30 fps avg enough strategy games starcraft not 1st person shooter green should 40+ , 25-30 yellow , below red.
bf3 on low works on higher doesn't work on notebooks.
why prefer cod game play might not great big battles @ least can play without buying gaming notebook.
notebookcheck tests run @ 1366x768 resolution comparable. not entirely sure if 720p or native 1440x900. if 1080p there mention.
