Want better speed+processing. Help?

hey guys, new guy here. here thing, have late 2011 macbook pro 13" i5, 2.3ghz. it's nice, second laptop after pc. thing is, isn't fast be. otherwise happy it. real issues takes microsoft word , excel , bunch of other programs school while startup. don't realy need more 100gb. researching , found ssd great speed. come here ask ssd , can optimum performance. guys.

 

you add more ram , not quit applications often, unless don't need them while.
can run 2007 imac 10 25 applications open @ same time (on measly 4 gb ram) quite good. same goes 2009 mbp 8 gb ram.

i have vertex 2 , 3 in macs , have been good. others swear on crucial m4 or intel 320 or samsung 830 ssds.

, if don't use windows via boot camp can use sleep feature of mac instead of shutting down, if prompts repetitively start applications.
