Mom's MacBook Air 2010 Problem

my mom has macbook air 2010, startup disk full. don't know it. likes download tons of apps, we're guessing thats' what's causing built in ram. thing whenever delete unwanted files/pictures trash can isn't getting full, it's asking me admin password every time. how fix this? how lower startup disk not being full?

 

delete stuff , empty trash
