Should I leave "Discoverable" in Bluetooth settings on?

is safety issue if leave on? if turn off, new devices (like magic trackpad) not join automatically?

 

just out of abundance of caution, leave "off" can. don't have bt turned on laptop. don't know of bt exploit (not saying don't exist, don't know .... ) figure if habit overly cautious, , turn on services when reminded dialogue box telling me can't something, don't need worry should exploit developed.
