Naming a shared folder differently

i use beyond compare on windows pc compare 2 home directories, shared on network. 1 of home directories on macbook, other on external drive. both have same name.

there way differentiate them, because connecting windows both like

mac ip address\home directory name.

thanks!

(nb reason using beyond compare it's 1 of small band of windows programs humiliates mac equivalents).
