Prepare upgrader from SL to Lion with recovery - best practice?

hi guys!

still on sl summer 2009 mbp, tempted upgrade.

there few things want know first:

sl disc - boot of sl disc recovery etc - using time machine older 500gb disk pc days on usb.

if lion should fail or should desire upgrade hd ssd - how recover time machine not os boot disc????

understand apple store can buy lion on usb stick - solution???

 

it sounds downloading lion app store? follow this make own lion usb key if ever need reinstall blank drive.
