i have spent couple of months trying icloud syncing set way want it. , therein lies problem. apple did not give me options set syncing way want it. in nutshell, cannot set outlook on pc "master" list, icloud wants master list. no matter how many different ways try sync pc, mac mini, ipad , iphone, seems come icloud wants master. if apple give me option device should master, think whole process work better. , includes options merge and/or replace data. option doesn't exist. now, maybe hard program icloud, not being programmer, don't know. , lastly, question why care master list, comes mobilme loosing contacts not once twice, forcing me hand enter data on again, , mobilme had more options when comes merge/replace/overwrite etc. jmho
if apple provided sort of option data in case happened, wouldn't have worry issue. maybe machine-like service go in time.
