Wifi tethering?

i'm @ hotel , noticed has at&t wifi. works great on iphone 4 because i'm assuming picks i'm at&t member.

unfortunately can't on laptop because don't have at&t internet membership guess.

anyway, possible tether wifi (not 3g) phone laptop? phone not jail broken way.

know there tether plans doesn't apply "3g" service or include wifi connection well?

there no reason why can't use phone's credentials connect wifi. use them, can't rebroadcast wifi iphone.
