iMac won't load Adobe program disk

hi there

new mac , looking bit of help. have had imac 5 months , have bought adobe lightroom 3 me out photography.

disk says windows / mac os when put disk in imac, won't recognise anywhere, can't see on desktop, in finder or anywhere @ all.

downloaded trial version of lightroom 3 , put serial number , running worrying , wondering why won't recognise disk??
