AT&T Pay Per Use Text Messaging = No Texting?

anyone know at&t's pay per use text messaging plan , iphone?

of close friends have imessage send somewhere in neighborhood of 5 actual sms messages month , want save $ getting rid of outrageous $20/month unlimited texting plan.

problem is, i've dumped unlimited texting plan can no longer send or receive text messages (imessage excluded). know what's up?

i've seen similar problems on at&t's boards problem ending being "no texting plan selected" bs, i'm on "pay per use texting plan". cause at&t isn't getting $20/month nothing doesn't mean i'm not on texting plan. figured i'd scope things out on here first before raising blood pressure dealing at&t directly.

unless blocked texting on line, default pay-per-use texting. try restarting iphone.

if doesn't work, call at&t. may have screwed on end.
