Wi-Fi menu bar icon

since upgrading os x 10.7.3 morning, have problem wi-fi status in menu bar. have checked 'show wi-fi status in menu bar' sign in system preferences. not see icon in menu bar. strange thing is, when close system preferences , open later, click network, sign 'show wi-fi status in menu bar' off , have re-click 'on' (which again doesn't anything). have had problem since upgrade os x 10.7.3 morning.

can me?

why don't make new user , see if has problem. if so, may system issue.
