Permissions Nightmare

i've never seen many permissions problems ever. have hard drive 10.6.8 , has endless permissions errors. run disk utility , list never seems shorter. after 5 hours of repairing disk permissions , list not getting smaller, said sucks done today.

short of doing clean install there way fix don't have sit here day playing this?

if repairing permissions results in error messages, of these messages can ignored , should no cause concern.

mac os x: disk utility's repair disk permissions messages can safely ignore​

people repair, or recommend repairing permissions situations isn't appropriate. repairing permissions addresses specific issues. not "cure all" or general performance enhancer, , doesn't need done on regular basis. doesn't address permissions problems files or 3rd party apps.
