Stocks widget - keeps going back to default list..why?

i've set stocks widget in lion shows list of investments.

problem is, when log out , log in osx, widget reverts default list of companies, mine right @ bottom.

there need in order make display selections?

 

this caused stocks widget's preference file (plist) not being writable. easy fix, once find offending file - it's in users -> username -> library -> preferences (if you're running lion library hidden, go folder can take there), , called widget-com.apple.widget.stocks.plist (odd file name, yes - apple's choice, not mine). once file has been located, perform info on it, , see if permissions on "you can read , write". if don't, there's problem.
