My picture folders are a mess help

due pictures going missing no reason on pc , when moved them new imac 1st of iphoto imported them own folder had managed move off ssd before put them there.
put elements trial software on thinking of using it, created own folder of photos on ssd drive luckily large enough photo's mixture of raw , jpeg comes around 100gb.
seem have 4 copies of pictures , don't want sort them photo photo
there easier way sort duplicates ?

just take 1 of each photo need new folder delete rest, itl take 15 minutes or less of time... time spend looking better solution have been spent on sorting them out..
