How to overcome OSX firmware and install OS9 on Graphite iMac DV SE (G3 400)?

i have imac dv special edition 400mhz powerpc g3 (graphite) upgraded 640mb ram 2000. shipped os9. later installed osx (10.2.8) around 2003 etc.

had both os9 , osx running perfectly. however, because hd became full on years various software packages , versions affecting performance, erased entire hd , formatted (extended/hfs+ os9 drivers) clean install of both os9 , osx.

can install osx. imac not recognise original (orange cds)software restore or install discs came machine. have os9.2 update disc (orange '9' on white cd) , imac not recognise either. have repeatedly erased , formatted hd install os9 in various ways far no luck.

according various people on mac forums, including one, osx has built in firmware lockout os9. , experience, seems correct. so, know of way overcome piece of code etc? bear in mind please not mac programmer @ all. thanks.

i have 350 mhz g3 imac (the slot loading, not tray loading).
i've installed osx , os 9 on no problem.

whatever wrong, isn't osx in itself.
possible firmware update machine stopping install.

maybe else knows solution. sorry...

luck.
