iPad reboot?

i thought when reboot ipad, hold home , sleep/wake button, that ipad restarts , closes apps in background , resently used. when looked after restart still there. there way restart closes of them. know can close them manually.

 

no. shouldn't need close them, if do, close them manually reboot.
