i have 2008 24-inch imac (3.06 ghz) , after 3 , quarter years, seems have issue. screen started flickering, led freezing, led computer being unusable after 10 minutes or less.
took genius bar , they're going take @ it. right now, suspect video card, said possible lcd or entire logic board. lcd costs $500 or (can't remember actual price) repair, , if comes logic board, cost $750. i'm hoping it's video card, since it's $170 labor, in case, i'm looking @ other options. can't afford make repairs on computer old, since i'll buying new computer time next year when go college.
if turns out video card not issue, it's either lcd or logic board, worth sell imac parts , new computer early, or should try go repair? if choose sell parts, how worth? because option me sell imac parts , buy ipad 3 hold me on next year.
