i have new macbook purchased @ beginning of january. of software date , stuff. installed trial version of microsoft office 2011, trial ran out yesterday, rather dropping money purchase 2011, didn't much, friend of mine let me install microsoft office 2008 mac. anyways created several documents, word , excel documents office 2011, can open of them except 1 excel document, message gives me "the file corrupt , cannot opened." 2nd message says, "the file might have been damaged or modified original format." believe format of file .xlsx, though have in format allows me open , edit normal. suggestions?
btw i'm running latest version of os x lion, i'm not using windows operating system, nor have installed, office applications
