Radeon 6870 Audio over HDMI?

anyone using 6870 try audio on straight hdmi port?

heard mdp ports lack audio, wondering if hdmi different.

 

you can't audio gpu since os x doesn't swing way.

believe reason 2010 , onward mbps can send audio on hdmi because apple wired in audio minidisplayport (or tb port now). don't quote me on that.

disregard that, os x can send audio on hdmi
