Putting one user's Home folder on an external drive?

hello,

things stand right now, have ssd boot volume user folders on it. both users on internal raid0.

know move 1 of users external drive, cause problems during times when external drive won't mounted?

why want have home directories on external drive?

if anything, should on ssd, , bulk data should manually located on external storage. allows have amazing ssd performance stuff library folder used every app configuration , temporary data.

can create symbolic links put itunes library , other huge stuff on external volumes.
