Partition list is broken

he everybody,

title should read "partition list small".

have 3 tb seagate usb hard drive connected imac. has library of normal (so .avi, .mov etc) , mkv videos on it. have hard drive since few weeks. use ps3 media server stream playstation 3.

since yesterday stops playing files after time. when go in folder shows file broken. trying other videos, broken well.

anyway, apparently, drive disconnected imac (when went go check settings in pms, first thing saw on screen disconnected drive in "bad" way, message when when disconnect drive without ejecting in mac os x).

might understand, did not disconnect drive. went check hard drive using disk utility. when check partition on it, there's nothing wrong. however, when check disk says "partition division (this translated, guess it's "the partition list") needs restored because problem occurred system file efi-system partition".

basically, think message problem. pushing "restore disk" button did help. says efi partition list small , still needs restored. pressing "restore disk" button doesn't help. how make partition list correct?

know transfer files other drives (which hassle, because don't have 1 tb free on of hard drives, have scramble files on hard drives, , later put them , remove them), i'd rather not.

@ moment i'm doing deep scan data rescue (some website said help). however, how can rebuild list afterwards? list need rebuild or else?

couldn't figure out (i'm not terminal hero) how program restore partition list.

p.s. hard drive has guid-partition table.
partition created on mac os extended (journaled). nothing wrong.
