here seems issue "new ipad" (aka ipad 3). appears itunes loads higher resolution photo on ipad 3. example, restored ipad 3 ipad 2 backup. wheres 10878 photos on used 8.3 gb ipad 2 (and 10 gb iphone 4s) same selections use 21gb on ipad 3. "ipad cache" inside "iphoto library" has grown around 8gb 60.54gb (as of now).
there seems no way specify want lower resolution photos in itunes longer. (you used able specify not include "full resolution" photos).
means have exclude albums avoid filling ipad 3 (even 64gb version close being full). solution use same resolution on ipad 2 ideal. likewise having 60.54gb cache on 256gb drive on mini non-optimal - "masters" folder 131gb fine, 60gb cache , other stuff, drive full now.
i'd interested in hearing solutions or suggestions!
