MBP has died - 9 days after AppleCare expired!!!!!

my late '07/early '08 mbp has died. startup chime keeps repeating ad infinitum. searching 'net reveals hardware issue, logic board.

bought applecare extended warranty £273 , have never had cause use until - when checked, expired on 8th jan, 9 days ago.

can't believe how unlucky am.

i'm sure i've read apple have been known bit flexible , still repair kit after ac has expired. colleauge had ipod touch replaced though way out of warranty.

reckon chances of them doing me? i'm in uk.

btw, if you're wondering how come ac has run out on 4+ year old mbp, answer bought refurb store

 

you need call them now. wouldn't wait day if @ possible because think find apple helpful in situation this. i'm hopeful know how they'll guesswork. i'll keep fingers , legs crossed you.
