Best way to get Full HD AVCHD footage onto iPad?

i have panasonic gh2 produces ultra-nice full hd footage. i'd have many family movies possible synced 64 gb ipad 3 @ best possible quality. there consensus convenient , high-quality software take care of this? thoughts might have!

i use handbrake, don't know if have updated yet retina display on ipad. perhaps there update that?
