Need some clarity

i have 4gs upped 5.1 , icon changedvto 4g. wifes phone 4g upped 5.1 still says 3g. ideas? wife called att , stated correct bcs phone better (but stated bit different)

did not know of speed differences on cell network between these phones. wrong?

 

your wife has iphone 4, , have 4s. why have 4g on phone.

record there no iphone 4gs, nor iphone 4g. no -g in names.
