imac newbie help please (picture of fault)

hi guys

have been given imac (think first one) , wanting going let kids play

when starts grey screen ? finder folder

got os x 10.5 , tried install powering on , holding down c button

keep getting screen

the version of osx install specific apple computers. need find serial number @ least of imac, printed on case somewhere. go apple support website , identify model. it's url uk website http://www.apple.com/uk/support/imac/intel/ if it's intel imac otherwise go http://www.apple.com/uk/support/imac other models.

when you've identified model can go here work out version , build of osx need http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1159
