hey guys, i've been long powerpc user , have grown love architecture , need intel machine half productive. going dual 1.8 g5 in april main work on announcement of mac os x 10.8 mountain lion wondering if prices of core duo macbooks drop considerably?
1.83 core duo's going around £250-£275 @ moment,
dual 1.8 g5 cost me £110.
what's worth getting money (i've haven't got money pouring out of pockets) , if think cd's price drop dramatically?
cheers
i expect os x ml have minimal impact on price. release of ivy bridge macs push price of older models down, however. price of sandy bridge models drop most, , older models less, both in absolute terms , on percentage basis. believe if @ refurb 1 generation old direct apple price drops 15-20%. should pressure used market prices down.
ivy bridge macs due possibly in april or june, if project purely based on availability of new chips intel. april earliest, , there's buzz intel wants delay ivy bridge chips clear sandy bridge inventory. hope stupid slow windows pc market doesn't slow our upgrades!
seeing need intel, seems dual g5 not need, ought bite bullet core duos, whether or in april/june.
