Does anyone use their optical drive anymore?

i may rip mine out in favor of hd... , i'm having tough time thinking of might make me regret

i'm on lion os reinstall won't use , software downloaded (eg. mac app store).

 

i did it. still looking 5.25" external enclosure dvd burner, there cheap usb slim burners available too.

have slight problem though in in optical bay have ssd , hdd. unfortunately hdd spinning creating vibrations in aluminum case causes whole mac pro case make loud buzzing noise several times day. have finding rubber stoppers or such reduce vibrations.
