New iMac. Storage options for workflow?

how you?
so, after debate , indecision, pulled trigger on beautifull 27 inch imac. considering macbook air plus atd, cost of both, plus kaeyboard , magic mouse, made pull trigger on great deal imac.
i'm faced question of how set ip up... in regard storage...
imac version 1tb internal hdd.
first thing did partition drive in 200gb partition os , apps , 800gb partition data.
have firewire 800 1tb external hdd already.
so, based on this, best way setup machine , workflow?
thinking pulling trigger on 2 2.5 inch external fw800 1tb drives , following:

- internal drive: pictures , data. lightroom catalog.
- external 1tb 3.5 drive: mirror backup of internal.
- external 1tb 2.5 drive: storage of raw pictures (store raw , jpegs straight out of camera).
- external 1tb 2.5 drive: mirror offsite backup of raw pictures.

think?
better options?
if have imac, how have set up?
