Evio Harmony Case - Review

this case has been mentioned on several threads. thought deserved review. record, no affiliation company. customer.

company. evio appears new company , harmony ipad 2 case first product. other cases ipad , cases other devices apparently in pipeline. they're headquartered in southern california. no word on cases manufactured assume come asia.

price, ordering, delivery. harmony case can ordered evio website or amazon (perhaps other sites.) same price on both sites $39.99 plus $4+ shipping southern california addresses.

ordered case on thursday. delivered via usps following tuesday monday holiday. shipped , tracking. arrived no damage in padded sleeve. 5 stars.

quality. very, good. appears high quality leather. if not, it's imitation. interior micro-suede. stitching excellent. no loose threads or missed stitches. overall feel , first class. i'd compares favorably cases priced 3 times more. 1 color choice (black , burgundy). perfect color combo imo ymmv.

design. design standard folio small "kickstand" built interior side of front cover. 1 typing position available @ 20 degrees horizontal.

front cover activates sleep/wake function of ipad 2 , holds cover closed. not strong magnet, however. can imagine might not hold if tossed bag other stuff. bag dedicated sleeve, however, work well.

hinge leather , extends across 90% of length of ipad. should durable. ipad slides interior of case , secured leather flap on 1 side. fits well. ipad isn't going anywhere once it's in case. conversely, it's relatively simple remove ipad.

ports , openings available , appear have been designed case rather added afterthoughts.

bulk. front , covers minimally padded , add a little bulk entire package compared smartcover , plastic cover. not major issue, though. case fits in waterfield design travel express bag apple wireless keyboard in origami workstation case. (very tight fit works.)

on other hand, have belkin blade adjust stand ipad , case not fit slot ipad case folded over. again, not big problem since cover can draped on of stand may problematic stands hold ipad in place tightly.

protection. it's not "ruggedized" case (e.g. gumdrop, otterbox defender.) padding of front , of case should provide adequate protection in situations. on other hand, case not extend beyond corners of ipad. dropping ipad on corner not recommended.

overall value. close 5 out of 5 stars, i'd say. looks personal matter imo it's stunner. hopefully, won't sell it's commonplace. construction first class. functionality (with qualifications) excellent. bulk minimal considering protection provides. pocket welcome appears evio bringing out case feature. not yet available.

less $50, it's highly recommended.

i've had evio harmony case few days now. i'll echo points made jsh1120 in review. case stunner. it's not made of real leather, material looks great. seems incredible value $39.95 plus s&h. case covers of ipad bezel, half of it. might not important some, don't cases cover whole bezel. evio can live with.

downsides. landscape viewing done propping cover. there no locking mechanism or folding of cover, method not stable. use ipad way, doesn't bother me. typing position seems ok. i'll have see durability of pop-out typing stand (something haven't seen on case). reviewer felt typing position wasn't stable:

other criticism might have spine little loose. because of covers tends float bit when either folded or closed shut. when in closed position, there magnets keep cover closed, have hunt find them. not big deal, thought mention it.

told nice case , recommend it.
