Can Apple TV 3 stream the sound of a video to an AirPlay speaker?

i'm thinking of buying projector , hooking apple tv 3. problem sound, avoid having drag wire atv speaker.

possible of doing if used itunes stream video through atv , selecting multiple speakers in airplay options? don't have possibility of testing myself.

i assume having more 1 source feed content projector, - blue ray player, cable tv box, etc. if that's case, best option invest in avr ( audio video receiver) take sources in, , let output desired source projector via hdmi cable - carrying both video , sound information.

, in my opinion, wires friends - more trouble free managing lots of wireless options.
