Seagate GoFlex ISSUE...Dead?!

hey guys. awesome seagate goflex 500gb external drive has been failing on me. right won't show on desktop @ all. checked in disk utility , sure enough it's there. however, won't show anywhere on desktop or finder , i've tried techniques of hiding/showing, through terminal , applescript. when put ear against it, it's working , turning; dies/goes sleep after few minutes though it's plugged in.

i'm attaching screenshot of disk utility drive plugged in (the name of drive "mimin")
