iPad for high school education?

so, thinking getting ipad 3 when released sometime spring. buying myself (i'm 14) , use 8th grade (i know said high school, i'm in special advanced program @ school taking high school courses, it's didn't have space @ of severely overcrowded high schools go). worried @ price @ first, nevertheless, i've decided ipad. have questions first-

1. size recommend get? (i have 100 apps , 15 gb of other things (music, etc.) keep on too).
2. best word processing app(s) get? pages/keynote/numbers best ones?
3. kind of case should get? thinking maybe getting smartcover (if have newer generation, think would) , possibly getting silicone case cover of (like gelaskin or http://www.amazon.com/khomo-rubberi...8m/ref=sr_1_15?ie=utf8&qid=1330539927&sr=8-15 )
4. best apps get? , of free?
5. ipad investment use? can use several years come, long case protect with.

edit: have macbookpro , iphone 4s...

per thread title, it's not viable unless school , teachers pushing 100%.

best way use ipad in learning environment seems to have text/notes/resources on ipad in replace of books, , paper/pen notepads recording notes , sessions, doing work, scratch pad, etc.

if school doesn't support digital text books, , teachers aren't on digital game... have books, notepad, , ipad toy on side... , distraction , hindrance imho.

1. sounds know stuff want put on it, math :)
2. probably, check out appadvice.com
3. personal opinion, around
4. personal opinion, appshopper.com, appadvice.com
5. technology (computers, mobile devices, vehicles) never investment, in 12months sequel launched. in 24-36mo feel obsolete. may seem long time @ stage of life, isn't.

edit: pretty close car driving age, i'd save, aren't cheap.
