iPhone 3GS old-Bootrom 4.1 iPad bb...

hi got iphone 3gs 16gb old-bootrom.. installed ipad bb , 4.1 version....

me know if can update 5.1 , unthether jailbreak , unlock?
don't use att unlock important....
searched around got mixed since posts deal new bootroms or iphones not updated ipad bb....
checked , wifi, 3g, gps , work on iphone currently..
honest... i'm looking wipe phone apps , installed previous user ...
if don't have updtate 5.x that's fine...
